Members of the Arkansas Tech University community will remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a campus march and campus-wide community service project on Monday, Jan. 20.

Participants are invited to check in and enjoy a continental breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. at Hindsman Tower. That will be the starting place for that campus march at 9:30 a.m. The march can finish in the W.O. Young Building. From there, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of ATU are invited to participate inside a service project inside Young Ballroom.

Volunteers will fold and pack fleece blankets and prepare women's hygiene kits for distribution to local non-profit organizations.

It will mark the 5th consecutive year that ATU has took part in a community service project as part of its Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemoration.

In addition to the above events, Arkansas Tech University will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance from the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
