Hofstra University is going to be closed Sunday, Jan. 24, 2019 because of heavy snow and blizzard conditions over the Los angeles metropolitan area.

All non-athletic events and every one is cancelled. The men’s and women’s basketball games — a doubleheader set to get started on at noon on Sunday — is going to be played as scheduled. A wrestling match on Sunday at 1 p.m. can even continue on as scheduled.

Axinn library is going to be closed, although the Exercise center, the principle Student Center Dining Hall and Dutch Treats are going to be open for normal hours. Residence halls will probably be open students returning from Winter Break.

To facilitate snow removal, the University is asking students living in the Towers, Netherlands or Nassau/Suffolk to park in lot 7 (near to the Graduate Residence Hall). Students located in Colonial Square should park in fields 6C and 6D.

Spring semester classes starts on Monday, Jan. 25 as scheduled.
